Disney Files Permit for Carousel of Progress Electrical Work

Walt Disney Imagineering filed a new permit for electrical work at Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom.

The permit contracts Solotech, which works on audiovisual technologies like speakers and lighting. As usual, the permit expires in one year. Carousel of Progress is scheduled to reopen in 2027.

The classic Disney ride is currently closed for a major reimagining that will shift the setting to the latter half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.

Imagineering previously hired a scenic design firm for construction work.
