Disney Files Permit for Electrical Work at Former PizzeRizzo in Disney's Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit for electrical work at the former PizzeRizzo building in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

PizzeRizzo Permit

A person stands outside PizzeRizzo in Muppets Courtyard, a pizza spot with a red awning and brick exterior.

The permit contracts audiovisual company Solotech and expires in one year. An opening timeframe for Monstropolis hasn’t been announced.

PizzeRizzo, which was once based on Pizza Planet in Toy Story, will be re-themed to Monsters, Inc. as Muppets Courtyard becomes Monstropolis. We don’t know details of the new quick-service restaurant but arches were added to the facade earlier this year.

Check out our last look at PizzeRizzo, which closed permanently with the rest of Muppets Courtyard in June 2025. The PizzeRizzo billboard came down that December.
