Heads up, Disney fans! We just got a TON of movie news from Disney’s biggest fan event of the year, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

From sequels to live-action remakes and more, The Walt Disney Company is hard at work making even more movies for us to enjoy. There were plenty of announcements, so just in case you missed any, we’ve rounded them all up right here!

 

The D23 Entertainment Panel just happened, and Disney sure did take advantage of the occasion to share SO much incredible news and announcements. So much information was flying around that you might have missed something, so we are recapping ALL the announcements from last night!

#1 – Incredibles 3

Disney just shared all-new, never-before-seen details about our favorite superhero family. This movie is set to hit theaters June 16th, 2028. And now it’s the kids’ turn to take on their powers and become the Supers they have the potential to be.

#2 – Coco 2

This film is set to release in 2029, and at the D23 Panel, Disney shared all new details about the plot! This film will take place during Miguel’s teenage years, and this time, he will have to team up with Ernesto de la Cruz.

#3 – Ghost Market 

Last night, Disney also confirmed several new projects, including Ghost Market, which will be the very first Pixar ghost movie that will be released sometime in Spring 2028.

# 4 – Gatto

We also got a new look at Pixar’s upcoming movie, Gatto! The film is about an adorable black cat, Nero, as he begins to question if he’s lived the right life after years of living in Venice. This new look showed an extended clip that highlighted Nero alongside his unlikely pigeon sidekick. This film is coming to theaters on March 5th, 2027.

#5 – Kingdom Hearts

We also got LOTS of news about the beloved video game Kingdom Hearts, including a new sneak peek into Kingdom Hearts 4, where it was confirmed that Coco will be included. As well as confirmation of a new Kingdom Hearts Anime series!

#6 – The Simpsons Movie

We also got a pretty significant sneak peek at the all-new Simpsons Movie! They even shared very rough footage of the movie, which was so cool to see an early version of the animation. This movie will hit theaters in September 2027!

#7 – Lilo and Stitch 2

We also got brand NEW details on the upcoming Lilo and Stitch 2, including a little teaser that our favorite pink alien Angel might just be making an appearance.

#8 – Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion

Disney has just confirmed that the 1997 movie starring Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow is getting a sequel. That’s right, Romy and Michelle are coming back for another adventure!

# 9 – Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3

This new season will premiere on Disney+ November 20th, 2026. And Percy is only focused on two things: “Find Annabeth. Stop the Titans.” We cannot wait to watch season 3 of this incredible show!

#10 – Bluey Movie

Now, we’ve gotten so many big movie announcements, but we can’t forget about everyone’s favorite puppy! That’s right, Disney shared an all-new sneak peek of the Bluey Movie where we see Bluey and Bandit playing a game of keepy uppy.

#11 – Live Action Tangled

One of the most highly anticipated Disney projects currently in the works is the live-action Tangled, and Disney has just revealed a new look at some of the characters, including Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Mother Gothel herself. Disney also revealed that this new film will release in theaters on March 31st, 2028.

#12 – Oswald Mini-Series

Jon Favreau also took the stage at D23 to share a first look at the highly anticipated Oswald mini-series coming to Disney+ in February 2027!

#13 – VisionQuest 

We also got lots of D23 Marvel news at this panel, including an all-new trailer for VisionQuest, a new show set to follow White Vision after the events that happened in Westview in WandaVision.

#14 – Avengers Doomsday

Let’s keep the Marvel news rolling with an all-new sneak peek for the newest Avengers movie. We already cannot wait to see this movie when it drops in theaters on December 18th, 2026.

#15 – X-Men

We also got a partial cast announcement for the newest generation of the X-Men crew! We were expecting this news after Spider-Man: Brand New Day confirmed Sadie Sink in the role of Jean Gray, and it’s safe to say we are thrilled by the rest of the casting so far!

#16 – Ashoka

Now, let’s move along to the Star Wars news, starting first with both a new trailer and a confirmed release date for Ashoka season two. The second season of this popular Star Wars show will be hitting our screens on January 20th, 2027.

#15 – Star Wars: Starfighters

At D23, the film’s director, Shawn Levy, came on stage alongside Ryan Gosling and presented him with a black jacket with a white skull on the back and confirmed that Gosling would be playing the role of Kade Auberon in the upcoming film.

#16 – Zootopia 3

Disney also just confirmed that Zootopia 3 is officially in the works!

#17 – Clay

Disney has also announced an all-new original movie titled Clay, which will feature characters named Clay and Mooshy and will star Kieran Culkin!

# 18 – Hexed

This movie is set to release on November 25th, 2026, and follows a teenage girl named Billie who discovers she has secret magical powers. Once those powers are unleashed, she finds herself on a journey into a “vast witch realm” where she teams up with her mother, Alice, as they uncover family mysteries. And Disney has just confirmed several members of the cast!

#19 – Frozen 3

Disney also shared a new look at the plot, concept art, and even a brand-new song for the upcoming Frozen 3!

#20 – Ice Age: Boiling Point

Disney has just reiterated that this movie is coming out on February 5th, 2027, but they did not provide any additional details.

#21 – Princess Diaries 3

The Queen of Genovia herself, Anne Hathaway, took to the D23 stage to confirm that production was still underway for Princess Diaries 3. However, they are taking their time to make sure it is perfect and exactly what the fans want to see. There was no news or updates provided at this time.
