Disney Parks has shared an early preview of Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake — A Haunted Mansion Street Party, a new entertainment offering debuting during the 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure.
Haunted Mansion Street Party in Hollywood Land
The brief Instagram Reel takes guests into Hollywood Land after dark, where the street is bathed in blue, purple, and green lighting as ghostly dancers and several recognizable Haunted Mansion residents materialize along Hollywood Boulevard.
Dancers costumed as deceased partygoers move through the street in period-inspired gowns, suits, and hats. In another scene, gravediggers perform a choreographed routine with shovels.
Several named characters are featured throughout the preview, including the frightened Caretaker, the Tightrope Walker (AKA Sally Slater), the Beating-Heart Bride (AKA Constance Hatchaway), and the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
One moving scenic unit resembles the stately mansion facade, complete with columns, lanterns, brick walls, flowers, and a brightly illuminated stained-glass window. “Memento Mori” is illuminated along the sides of the float’s base. Another unit appears to gather the various framed portraits found in the Mansion’s Stretching Room. A third unit resembles the gated entrance of the Mansion, surrounded by gravediggers and flying ghost elements.
Other quick glances of the street party show more classic Haunted Mansion motifs coming to life throughout the floats and accompanying characters, including the Watchful Busts, the Haunted Armor, the endless hallway scene, and more.

New Street Party Coming to Oogie Boogie Bash
Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake is replacing the Frightfully Fun Parade as the marquee processional entertainment at Oogie Boogie Bash in 2026.
The longtime parade is not being presented this year due to ongoing construction at Disney California Adventure. Work on the upcoming Coco-themed attraction near Pixar Pier affects an area adjacent to one of the park’s parade gates, limiting use of the traditional route.
Frightfully Fun Parade previously featured the Headless Horseman, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Haunted Mansion performers, and a collection of Disney Villains.
Although the parade will not return this year, Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman are still part of the event. At select times, Ichabod will hurry through Disney California Adventure while attempting to escape the pursuing Horseman.
Disney first announced Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake alongside the broader 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash entertainment lineup. The separately ticketed, after-hours event is offered on select nights from August 18 through October 31. Disney stated that tickets remain available for select dates at the time of the preview’s release.
