The ceremony celebrates the start of construction on the parking, transportation hub, and bridge that are part of the DisneylandForward expansion project, preparing for an influx of visitors as Disney adds several attractions and experiences. Two new rides are coming to Avengers Campus, a Coco ride will be added to Pixar Pier, Tomorrowland is being reimagined, and an Avatar land is still in the works.

The pedestrian bridge will connect the esplanade to the new parking structure at the current site of the Manchester Cast Member parking lot.

There will be approximately 6,000 parking spaces, 302 EV charging spaces, a dedicated area for shuttles and ridesharing, security, and dedicated access for traffic off Disney Way.
