The Alice in Wonderland splash pad at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is undergoing a refurbishment. Though Disney has not announced the work, the splash pad was closed on Wednesday, August 12.

The giant Mad Hatter bucket is covered by plastic wrap, the slides are blocked off, and no water is flowing through the play area right now.

A construction lift was parked nearby during our visit. Panels were removed from the border of the splash pad and blue painter’s tape lines the openings.

Because Disney hasn’t announced the refurbishment, this may be a relatively quick project and is likely for general maintenance.
