Fans of the fast-growing, electric racing sport can enjoy live races and exclusive programming on Disney+ and ESPN+ later this year.
Formula E Coming to Disney+ and ESPN

As announced today, Disney and Formula E have announced a multi-year deal that will bring all Formula E races to Disney+ and ESPN+ in the U.S. and to Disney+ in most international markets.
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is known as the next evolution of motorsport. The world’s first all-electric series, Formula E operates as a high-speed “living laboratory” where leading automotive manufacturers – including Porsche, Nissan, Jaguar, and more – innovate and refine electric vehicle technologies. Formula E is also the world’s first and only sport to be a Certified B Corp, reflecting a dedication to social and environmental transparency. It also recently achieved the BSI Net Zero Pathway certification, setting a new benchmark for climate action.
The deal begins with the 2026/2027 season, spanning 21 rounds across 13 events in many iconic cities across the world. The race season starts on December 18 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with stops in Austin, Miami, Monaco, and Mexico City, all culminating in the final round in Tokyo on July 25, 2027.
When Formula E debuts on Disney+ and ESPN+ in December 2026, subscribers will have access to “comprehensive coverage of every event, including preview and review shows, practice, qualifying and race sessions, along with race highlights.”
“Formula E combines world-class competition, groundbreaking technology, and sustainability in a way that’s unlike any other sport,” said Joe Earley, Co-President, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment. “We’re excited to help power the championship’s next chapter on Disney+ and to give fans around the globe front row access to every adrenaline-fueled race as it happens.”
This is not Disney’s first foray into the racing sphere. During this year’s “Fuel the Magic” season, Disney has been collaborating with Formula One to bring new merchandise, pop-ups, and entertainment moments, like seeing Mickey and Minnie dressed in racing costumes.
