FriendShip Boat Dock Boards Replaced, Dock Still Closed at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

The FriendShip Boat Dock at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is still closed and undergoing wood board replacement.

When we last reported about the FriendShip Boat dock refurbishment, it was noted that the dock would be closed for maintenance from August 17 – 21, 2026. Now, a week later, the dock at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort has still not opened.

However, we noticed new wood boards installed in certain sections of the dock. The fresh, light brown color of the new boards contrasts with the faded brown boards next to it.

A white sign notes that the boat service is temporarily unavailable. Guests can use the pathway to access the EPCOT International Gateway, and there is also direct bus service available to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Temporary green fences have been erected to prevent guests from accessing the boat dock. From another view, we could clearly see the delineation between the new and old wood boards.

We also noticed a crew member working in the resort’s lighthouse, so it’s possible the lights are being replaced.

At the time of this writing, Disney has not officially announced when the boat dock refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be complete.
