Universal Studios Japan will be holding anniversary events in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter area from this fall through winter to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
New Harry Potter Merchandise
Universal Studios Japan released a look at the new food and merchandise coming to the park in its first event, “Back to Hogwarts,” which will be held from September 1, 2026.
25th Anniversary Butterbeer Mug
Butterbeer is now available in a limited edition mug commemorating the 25th anniversary of the first film’s release. The clear mug has “Harry Potter” printed on it in the signature logo with “25 years of magic” written underneath.
Harry Potter Suncatcher
These drawstring pouches come in eight different collectible designs, including the emblems of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.
The suncatcher, perfect for decorating a windowsill, is a stained glass design that recreates the world of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Hogwarts House Robes
September 1st, the start of the new term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter world, is a special day for fans. Just as the students of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are excited to welcome the new term, you can enjoy shopping for “back-to-school essentials” to become a Hogwarts student yourself.
These essentials include robes and accessories from each Hogwarts House.
Hogwarts House Scarves
You can also purchase scarves in the color of your favorite Hogwarts House in red, green, yellow, or blue.
Hogwarts House Ties
Finish up your Hogwarts uniform with a Hogwarts House striped tie.
Wands
At the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can enjoy casting spells with a wand in your hand. You can purchase the wands, including one made from Black Walnut and Dragon Heartstring, at Ollivanders.
Notebook and Quill Pen
You can also purchase a notebook and a quill pen at Filch’s Confiscated Goods Store. The notebook is a dark brown color with “Hogwarts” printed in gold with the Hogwarts emblem underneath.
Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans
Try different kinds of jelly beans when you purchase Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans. It comes in a colorful box with circus-inspired designs on it. You can purchase this treat at Honeydukes.
Frog Chocolate
You can also purchase a chocolate frog at Honeydukes, also seen in the first Harry Potter movie. It comes in a blue, gold, and red pentagon-shaped box.
A similar back-to-school Harry Potter event is also happening at Universal Orlando Resort from now until September 1.
