The characters of The Nightmare Before Christmas are moving back into the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. The regular ride is now closed for installation of the overlay, which will open later this month.

Haunted Mansion Closed

Gates are closed and temporary green scrims block clear views into the mansion’s grounds. There are also temporary barriers in front of the gates.

A themed sign featuring Jack Skellington reads:

Sandy Claws is busy decking these haunted halls.
Please join us for a frightfully good time after August 21.
Season’s screamings!

A standard Haunted Mansion-themed sign also lets guests know the ride is currently unavailable.

Haunted Mansion Holiday will open on Friday, August 21, and be available through both the Halloween and Christmas seasons. It will close and revert back to the regular Haunted Mansion in January 2027.
