Happy haunts are materializing this Halloween season at Disneyland Resort, including the return of the Haunted Mansion overlay at the Disneyland Hotel.
Haunted Mansion Overlay at Disneyland Hotel
On the walkway leading to the Disneyland Hotel, a display has been set up, mimicking the entrance brick pillars and metal gate found in front of the Haunted Mansion attraction.
Animal statues, pillars, vases, and tall plants have been placed in front of the display, along with a decorative black sign that reads, “Happy Halloween From Disneyland Hotel.”
Inside of the entrance to the Disneyland Hotel, there are three pillars covered in numerous clear vases containing fall bouquets of various heights. Behind the floral arrangements, a Haunted Mansion backdrop is attached to the wall. Yellow text near the top reads, “Welcome to the Disneyland Hotel.”
The scene features the four portraits found in the Stretching Room at the beginning of the attraction: Sally Slater (tightrope walker/alligator), Alexander Nitrokoff (The Ambassador/dynamite), Constance Hatchaway (The Black Widow/tomb), and The Quicksand Men (men standing in quicksand). Two images of gargoyle candelabras stand between the portraits and below circular logos of the Haunted Mansion amidst the striped wallpaper.
The three main elevators nearby have also received a spooky upgrade.
Each elevator door has been decorated with a Hitchhiking Ghost: Phineas (the Traveler), Ezra (the Skeleton), and Gus (the Prisoner), respectively.
The Hitchhiking Ghosts are also on the mirrors inside each of the elevators.
The Disneyland Hotel isn’t the only hotel receiving spooky updates this Halloween season. The Pixar Place Hotel now has a Monsters, Inc. themed overlay, and a Nightmare Before Christmas fondant display has been installed in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
