D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is happening right now, and we have gotten SO much news about Piston Peak coming to Magic Kingdom.

Just when we thought Disney couldn’t possibly announce anything more, they proved us wrong!
Disney has just announced that the new Cars expansion will include Miss Fritter from Cars 3 and she’ll be starring in her very own ride, Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along. This will be the family-friendly ride in the expansion, where you’ll enter into a demoliton derby with “a larger than life personality,” a high school-sized bus animatronic.

Disney also dropped a few more details about the rally race ride, which will be called Cars Ridge Run Rally, a ride desribed as a quest to find “the wildest racer in the wheelderness” as you compete for the “fastest lap in the west.”

The race course will go through Piston Peak national park, including a climb up the icy, snow-covered Peak itself.

Disney also promised that this ride is possibly even better at night!

After you’ve reached the top of the Peak, you’ll them plummet down it for a camelback descent and then make your way through a geyser field.

The race ends with a circle around Old Tankfull geyser before you get to the finish line where Lightning McQueen and Mater are covering the race live.

This weekend, during D23, Disney has also revealed a full model of the entire land, which has given us SO much information about what we can expect from this area, including the architecture, or as Disney calls it, the “Parkitecture.”

We have also gotten hints at some possible food locations.

This model has also shown us sneak peeks at the two rides coming to the land.

Overall, it really highlights the design and details, and what we can expect to find when Piston Peak opens in Magic Kingdom.
