CHEESE TIME!!!
The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival brings a lot of great things to Disney World, including tons and tons of food, stunning live entertainment, and a dedicated cheese crawl that is literally the experience of our dreams. If you’re someone who never says stop to the Olive Garden server dumping cheese on your pasta, then listen up because you’re going to be just as obsessed with us.
The festival runs till November 21st, and you can enjoy Emile’s Fromage Montage all festival long, but you’ll want to keep an eye on the menus since some food isn’t available for the full dates. You’ll want to start by picking up a handy-dandy passport that lists all the food you can grab during the festival, but, most importantly, the snacks that are part of Emile’s Fromage Montage. You can typically find them with the little cheese symbol next to the titles.
In the back of your passport, you’ll find a blank stamp page, and after you purchase one of the cheese-based items, you can get a stamp from the Cast Member at the register. When you fill the stamp page, you get a prize, redeemable at the Shimmering Sips booth.
Not every dish is available throughout the festival, but there are quite a few options to choose from. Don’t worry, there are some that you can grab throughout the whole festival, though! You can grab Schinkennudeln, a pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese, at the Germany booth.
You can also grab the Basque Cheesecake with orange sauce at the Spain booth.
A classic is the Griddled Cheese with pistachios and honey at the Greece booth.
Don’t forget the Pão de Queijo, Brazilian cheese bread, which you can grab at the Brazil booth.
Another cheesecake option is the Pineapple Cheesecake with passion fruit curd and macadamia nuts at the Hawai’i booth.
Finally, you can snag the Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli with brown butter vinaigrette, pecorino cheese, pomegranate seeds, and hazelnut praline at Forest & Field.
Some other dishes that have different opening dates include:
- Selection of Cheeses at The Wedge at CommuniCore Hall from September 18th to November 8th
- Crab and Corn Macaroni and Cheese at The Wedge at CommuniCore Hall from September 18th to November 8th
- Three-Cheese Macaroni and Cheese at The Wedge at CommuniCore Hall from September 18th to November 8th
- Cheesesteak Macaroni and Cheese at The Wedge at CommuniCore Hall from September 18th to November 8th
- Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse Trifle at Festival Favorites starting on September 9th
- Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib at Earth Eats starting October 2nd
- Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese at The Alps starting October 2nd
- Tartiflette at The Alps starting October 2nd
Now, we like to try different food items to collect our stamps, but that isn’t required. You can fill the page with the same item five times, if you’d like! You also don’t have to finish it in one day; as long as you bring your passport, you can keep it going for every visit.
At the end, you can head to the Shimmering Sips food booth with your passport to grab your prize. This year, the prize is a mix of Key Lime Dole Whip with cheesecake soft serve. This was our favorite completer prize to date, as the flavors just blend and balance each other perfectly — the tartness of the lime with the sweetness of the cheesecake. You also get to take home the adorable themed cup the soft serve comes in. Seriously, we love this SO much that we’re upset that we can’t just order it on its own!
We’re bringing you all the details you need to know before heading to the festival yourself, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more tips and tricks to have the best visit ever. We’re trying EVERYTHING so you know what’s worth a stop!
