An interactive bamboo pole in the queue of Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland was restored, then removed again overnight. The pole had been missing for several months.

An interactive bamboo pole in the queue of Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland was restored, then removed again overnight. The pole had been missing for several months.

On Monday, August 24, we were happy to see the pole back in place in the spike room. There’s a sign next to it that reads “Danger! Do not touch pole!” If you do touch it, you can bend the pole significantly, triggering a loud noise and a slight drop of the ceiling above. See the effect in our video below.

Unfortunately, when we returned the next day to take more photos, the bamboo pole was gone again.

There are holes in the ceiling and floor where the pole should be, and the “Do not touch pole” sign remains on the wall.

Indiana Jones Adventure will soon close for a refurbishment and maybe then crews can fix whatever is causing issues with the effect.
