Another section of the former Jellyrolls façade is trading its familiar blue-and-white stripes for a darker, wavy design as work continues on The Hurly Burly Jazz Club.

During our latest visit to Disney’s BoardWalk, crews were actively painting the upper portion of the building from a boom lift. Several of the façade’s triangular gables now feature a darker aqua-blue background, instead of the older vertical blue-and-white striped pattern. The new shades of darker aqua colors are framed by the preexisting undulating white lines across the gables.

Painting efforts are underway across the building, with the latest paint added to the lakeside portion of the building. While multiple gables have received the darker color wave motif, the section on the far left, facing into the BoardWalk area, still retains its former striped pattern. A crew member was working on the rightmost gable during our visit.

The updated upper façade coordinates with the dark aqua paint added to the first level of the building. That lower-level change was visible in our previous construction update, along with wooden frames that may eventually support new awnings. Construction walls remain in place along the BoardWalk as work continues inside and outside the venue.

Jellyrolls closed in early 2025, and its former home will reopen as The Hurly Burly Jazz Club. The new venue will be themed to a historic seaside theater, offering family-friendly games and activities during the afternoon before transitioning into an adults-only live music lounge at night. Coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites will also be served. The ownership at Jellyrolls previously indicated they will be reopening sometime later this year in the Lake Buena Vista area.

Even before Jellyrolls closed, it was rumored that the replacement would be a Disney-owned jazz club.
