Authorities investigated an alleged domestic violence incident on the Walt Disney World Skyliner gondolas involving a woman who was four months pregnant, according to law enforcement and court records.

Leoji Allen, 27, of Chicago, was arrested for aggravated battery on a pregnant person, although the state attorney’s office later declined to pursue criminal charges in July.
During the May incident, the alleged victim was described as “visibly distraught” and “had a visible injury (bruise) to the right side of her face near her eye.” The woman said she and her boyfriend “got into a heated verbal argument which later turned physical after Leoji grabbed her,” the arrest report said.
Allen, who was in Disney Springs at the time, was arrested because the sheriff’s department found probable cause he committed the second-degree felony.
The couple’s argument started when the woman’s son was feeling tired standing in line for a ride on a hot day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so the woman wanted to leave the theme park. Allen and his girlfriend argued on the walk to the gondolas outside the park’s entrance.
The woman said she called a “cousin” on the phone to de-escalate the situation. That made Allen angrier, the woman told authorities. Allen got on the phone with his “sister” and asked if he should “smack” his pregnant girlfriend.
“Leoji [Allen] then walked up to (the woman) who was seated inside the Skyliner and stood in front of her. (The woman) then stood up and the two were face to face arguing with each other. (The woman) then advised that Leoji grabbed her with two arms by her chest, so she grabbed him by his shirt and also by his chain, which was around his neck,” the arrest report said. “She then advised that Leoji began punching her several times, with at least two times in her face and several more times in her arm and leg.”
The woman told law enforcement she hit Allen back in self-defense.
The woman was 16 weeks pregnant with Allen’s child, which would be their second child together. She told authorities she did not want to press charges against him and refused to give a written statement. The sheriff’s department took photos of the woman for documentation in the case.
At first, Allen insisted nothing had happened between him and his girlfriend and would “only acknowledge getting into a heated verbal argument,” the arrest report said. Then he accused his girlfriend of hitting him, which caused a blood clot in his left eye. Authorities again took photos for evidence.
He was taken to Orange County Jail, but complained his stomach hurt, so he was brought to the hospital. After he was medically cleared, he returned to jail.
However, the state attorney’s office decided earlier this month not to press charges.
“The State of Florida is not filing charges in this matter due to: testimonial evidence received is not corroborated by any physical or other evidence and is therefore insufficient to obtain conviction,” according to a state attorney’s July 14 memo. This is despite the arrest report noting Allen’s girlfriend had a bruised face.
Allen’s lawyer and the state attorney’s office did not respond to a request for comment for this story.
