The new entrance columns for Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been revealed…again. This is the second round of new entrance columns after Disney demolished the Muppets Courtyard entrance, constructed four columns, tore them down, and are now installing new ones.

Overnight, the forms have been removed, revealing the concrete columns inside. Crew members in lifts were working on them Saturday morning. Concept art indicates they will eventually be covered in faux brickwork, similar to that of The Glob theater (formerly the MuppetVision 3D theater).

Meanwhile, crews are starting to remove scaffolding from the former Gonzo’s Royal Flush restrooms and PizzeRizzo. The restrooms building received monster-themed elements earlier this summer.

We learned during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that PizzeRizzo will become Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, named after the six-legged Fear Tech mascot in Monsters University.

Disney also shared the names of other Monstropolis dining venues and shops, the name of The Glob stage show, details of Harryhausen’s, and an inside look at the door roller coaster.

The land will open in phases beginning in 2027.
