Guests can once again travel directly between Cars Land and Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
Cars Land and Avengers Campus Connector

The new passageway connecting the two lands opened on Saturday, August 29. The route had been closed since April 2025 to accommodate construction related to the Avengers Campus expansion and a new restroom facility.

Instagram user @x.treto, who worked on the passageway project as Lead Graphics and Design Lead, shared our first look at the reopened path. The connector includes the newly opened Take-A-Brake restroom building, designed as an old Route 66 mechanic shop that was later converted into a roadside rest stop.

Its Cars Land-facing exterior features weathered architecture, vintage signage, and references to the shuttered Pop n Patch tire repair shop from Cars.

The opposite side transitions into Avengers Campus with the appearance of an aged Howard Stark-era bunker and Strategic Scientific Reserve graphics.
According to the designer, research trips along Route 66 informed the building’s architecture, environmental details, and graphics. Walt Disney Imagineering recently offered a closer look at the completed passage and its two distinct themes, while construction walls began moving back earlier this week in preparation for the opening.
