We love The Lion King!
The first-ever The Lion King ride is coming to Disneyland Paris, and we just got new details about what’s to come.
We learned at D23 2024 that Disneyland Paris is getting a new The Lion King land with dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greets. It will also feature a brand new water ride that will take guests into Pride Rock and follow Simba’s journey from cub to king. Disney says, “It’s going to feel like you stepped right into the movie.”

Disney just revealed more details about the new The Lion King attraction during the Disney Experiences showcase at D23! The storyline of the new water ride will take guests on a journey of both the happy times and not-so-happy times of Simba’s life, including a confrontation with Scar!

Guests will plunge deep into the heart of the Pride Lands and hear iconic songs from the 1994 movie. After making your way to the caves under the 120-foot-high Pride Rock, you’ll pass through a variety of famous scenes from the film, including Simba’s final confrontation with Scar, following Simba’s journey all the way from cub to king.

When the ride opens, it will be one of the largest attractions at the resort, complete with a new flume system and a thrilling 52-foot drop. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the details from the new attraction shared by Disney!

The attraction will be one of several exciting additions to the park’s brand new The Lion King-themed land. We previously got a sneak peek at the model for this land, and it looks like it will be incredible.
