This year at D23, we got SO much exciting movie news, including new information on many exciting sequels from Coco 2, Frozen 3, Zootopia 3, and more!

However, while no exact announcements were made, we just got a hint of new details for Pirates of the Caribbean 6!
Deadline has reported that while at D23, they spoke with famous producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who discussed Pirates of the Caribbean 6 sharing, “We’re talking with Johnny, we’re working on a screenplay, and hopefully we can get this done.”

Which means we are closer to a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie than ever, and it looks like Johnny Depp may be returning to play the iconic Jack Sparrow! Since this movie is in the early stages of development, it will still be a long while until it is on our screens. But we are just thrilled to know that there is a chance that we can see Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean once again. The first film in the franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean, was released over 20 years ago, in 2003.

And while the newest film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales, may seem recent, it came out almost a decade ago, back in 2017. Which means it has been around nine years since a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie has been on our screens, and we are ready for more!
