Poseidon’s Fury is officially no more. The former walkthrough attraction has been completely demolished at Universal Islands of Adventure.
The Lost Continent Demolition
Poseidon’s Fury closed in 2023, but demolition of the show building didn’t begin until last month. In the park this weekend, we could no longer see the building over construction walls.
Photos and videos shared by aerial photographer @bioreconstruct on X confirmed the building is gone.
Crews are grading fresh sand where the Poseidon’s Fury entrance and courtyard used to be. Behind construction walls in front of Mythos Restaurant, a walkway is in development where there used to be a snack kiosk and trees.
The Poseidon’s Fury gift shop, Treasures of Poseidon, will also be demolished soon. Though it permanently closed earlier this year, it has not been blocked by construction walls.
A few piles of rubble remain where the Poseidon’s Fury show building used to be.
The other wide empty lot in these photos was home to The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad theater, demolished in July.
The Lost Continent first aid station is also expected to be demolished but there are trailers on site for a temporary first aid location.
Back inside the park, Universal has added signs to the construction walls informing guests Mythos is still open.
Mythos will permanently close next year, and Thunder Falls Terrace in Jurassic Park will become a full-service restaurant to fill the gap.
