Netflix’s Stranger Things was created by the Duffer Brothers, who produced the fifth and final season with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen. Marketed as Stranger Things 5, the eight-episode season was released in three rounds throughout November and December 2025.

The cast included Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Henry Creel / Vecna.

Set in 1987, the season’s action begins when Vecna kidnaps Mike and Nancy’s younger sister Holly (Nell Fisher) while Hawkins is under quarantine by the U.S. military.

This is the fourth Stranger Things house at Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Studios Florida.

Stranger Things 5 House Review

Join the Hawkins gang for one last adventure. Try to survive an army of Demogorgons, face the Mind Flayer and defeat Vecna once and for all in this haunted house based on Stranger Things 5.

This is one of only two houses we didn’t like this year. There have been a lot of Stranger Things houses at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood. They’re not always great but there have been some good ones and they are often the reason people come to the event.

One of the most memorable Horror Nights scenes of all time is the Stranger Things house that ended at Starcourt Mall. There was a mega Mind Flayer puppet in a big impressive scene.

The Mind Flayer comes back in season 5 and there’s a big battle at the end of the series. We thought we would get another puppet finale or at least something similar.

Instead, you go through this house and the Mind Flayer is just a projection on a screen.

The way they frame this house is that we’re on the journey with the main characters. There are certain moments and characters that fans of the show will be excited to see come to life.

But the scares aren’t great and the ending leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe Universal thought the emotion of the show ending would carry the house but it didn’t work.

There’s a very cool scene towards the middle with great animatronics, big set pieces that move, and special effects. That scene is the one redeeming factor.

There’s also an incredibly silly scene. There’s a title sequence. The Stranger Things 5 logo shows up, the music plays, and Vecna comes out of a boo hole, sort of presenting the logo. It’s so weird and funny.
