Crews have erected scaffolding at the rockwork of the Canada pavilion in EPCOT, where guests can usually view a waterfall. This follows the installation of construction walls in the area.

Canada Waterfall Refurbishment

The waterfall is deactivated, making it easy to see just how gray and faded the rocks have become due to the water. The scaffolding stretches across most of the rocky facade behind the walls. Some beige scrim is wrapped around part of the scaffolding.

Crews will likely refresh the paint of all the rocks, including those untouched by the water.

Sources have indicated to us that refurbishing the rock is a more involved process than standard work because some of the plants in the area are real and the root systems make maintenance more complicated.

Canada Far and Wide remains open. Though the accessible entrance is blocked by construction walls, guests who need it can enter through the theater’s exit instead.
