On the day of its release, with over 5,000 verified ratings, Spider-Man: Brand New Day currently has the highest audience rating of any Spider-Man film in the last decade on Rotten Tomatoes.

With a 98% Popcornmeter (or audience) score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has beaten every other Spidey film in the last ten years. In some cases, it has just edged out the competition.
For comparison, the other recent film Popcornmeter scores are as follows (from highest to lowest):
- Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021): 97%
- Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023): 95%
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018): 93%
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017): 87%
The film just came out today, so that score may change (for better or worse) as more audience members score it. But it is still worth noting that the film was at the top, even for a moment.
Now in its opening weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is predicted to have the biggest opening of the year so far.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues Peter Parker’s story after Doctor Strange’s spell caused the world to forget his identity at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film’s first trailer became the biggest movie-trailer launch of all time, recording 718.6 million views.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk. Sadie Sink appears in an undisclosed role.
