Test Track is experiencing extended downtime at EPCOT today, August 1. Just a few days ago, the doors that lead outside and onto the high-speed outdoor section began operating again.
Test Track Downtime

The attraction has been down since sometime this morning. Cast Members were not able to confirm the reason for the closure of if it will reopen today. Guests are able to go into the showroom but are stopped shortly after entering.

We noticed all of the emergency doors are open, allowing us to see inside the standby queue. The air conditioning is not operating and music has been turned off in the area as well.

The attraction gift shop remains open, but there is a large yellow fan stationed inside.
Test Track opened at EPCOT in 1998 as a replacement for the opening-day Omnimover ride World of Motion. Infamously, Test Track had a difficult testing period, with a car even flying off the tracks (the car was filled with sandbags and had no riders) and hitting a wall. The ride underwent a reimagining in 2025, and you can read more about that here.
