More scrim and tarps have been removed from The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom as its months-long refurbishment nears completion. Most of the scrim was removed last week but tarps remained along the front wall as landscaping was completed.

Haunted Mansion Scrims Removed

Landscaping is either complete or near completion. Prior to the refurbishment, shrubbery almost completely covered the wall and railing, so more plants may still be installed or Disney may just let the new plants grow in.

A strip of beige scrim remains along a railing above the exit queue. Some green camouflage scrim was also dangling from the railing.

The Haunted Mansion was closed on Tuesday morning, August 4, so we couldn’t get closer but these items appear to be the last signs of construction.

As we previously reported, The Haunted Mansion has a fresh color scheme similar to its appearance on opening day back in 1971. The bricks are redder and the trim is grayer. For the last several years, it has had a more monotone beige color scheme, as seen below.
