We’ve seen some pretty big anniversaries celebrated in Disney World, just over the past decade, including the MASSIVE Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration (which went on FOREVER), as well as The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary Celebration. Let’s face it…Disney loves to celebrate, and there’s always a big party.

Well, another BIG Disney World anniversary is coming up soon. On October 1st, 2026, Disney World turns 55 years old, and we’ve already seen a sneak peek at what the 55th Anniversary logo will look like!

Now, Disney World didn’t actually go out of its way to show us this new logo, but we noticed it when we were looking at upcoming merchandise drops. It was actually on a promo image of the new Cinderella doll that’s releasing on September 7th at The Disney Store to celebrate the event.

Here’s a closer look at the logo. It has the Walt Disney World logo at the top with a Florida pennant, the numbers 55, and the globe…and the 55 and globe make a Mickey Mouse head.

However, we’ve also seen another 55th Anniversary graphic that expands upon this logo, and it looks like we have the 55th Anniversary theme as well: “55 Magical Years of Storytelling.” This was from a special D23 event happening on October 4th.

So what does this mean? Well, Disney doesn’t seem to be going all out for its 55th birthday like it did for its 50th, but we can imagine that we’ll at least see some other merchandise drops in addition to the Cinderella drop over the next few months. We are hoping that Disney World releases some special snacks for the occasion, though that might just be our own wishful thinking, but still…if you’re paying attention, Disney…WE WANT SPECIAL SNACKS.
