Actor Tim Curry passed away on Tuesday evening, August 26, at the age of 80. He starred in several roles including Rocky Horror Picture Show, Muppet Treasure Island, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Curry had a major stroke in 2012 that required brain surgery. As a result, he suffered from mobility and memory issues for the rest of his life.
Sources told TMZ police responded to Curry’s house at 11:23 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Curry was best known for portraying Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the musical and Fox film The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
His career began on the West End in the 1960s and he later performed on Broadway. Other major screen roles included Rooster in Annie (1982), Wadsworth in Clue (1985), Pennywise in the It miniseries (1990), and Gomez Addams in Addams Family Reunion (1998). He voiced Sir Nigel Thornberry in Nickelodeon’s The Wild Thornberrys (1998-2004).
In addition to Rocky Horror, Curry has dozens of Disney and Fox credits, including as Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers (1993), Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island (1996), and the concierge in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992).
His voice roles include Thaddeus E. Klang in TaleSpin (1990), Taurus Bulba in Darkwing Duck (1991), Evil Manta in The Little Mermaid series (1992), several characters in Dinosaurs (1992), Hexxus in FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), Anton Sevarius in Gargoyles (1994), various characters in the Aladdin series (1994), Moltoc and additional voices in Quack Pack (1996), Forte in Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997), Dr. Slicer in Recess (1997), Von Talon in Valiant (2005), three Phineas and Ferb characters (2008), and Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars from 2013 to 2014.
From 1995 to 2003, he was the voice of S.I.R. the robot in the pre-show of ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter in Magic Kingdom.
