The steel framework of the land’s main entry arch continues to take shape. Vertical studs fill the structure, while curved sections create the layered silhouette depicted in concept art. The progress follows the recent addition of more steel components across the archway.

Beyond the entrance, several new rooflines are visible throughout the developing village of Pueblo Esperanza. Some structures are covered with protective sheathing, while exposed wooden trusses outline additional peaked roofs.

A substantial network of framing stretches across the rear of the land, forming the foundations of the artificial mountain range that will help establish the Tropical Americas skyline and conceal portions of the attraction buildings.

Themed rockwork also continues to develop near the edge of the land. Scaffolding surrounds the gray formations as crews sculpt cracks, stones, and other weathered details into their surfaces.

A white, balcony-style railing has also been installed along the front of the former Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures building. The old DinoLand U.S.A. gift shop is being retained and transformed into a new retail location for Pueblo Esperanza.

Tropical Americas is scheduled to open in 2027, transforming the former DinoLand U.S.A. into Pueblo Esperanza, a fictional community inspired by the landscapes, architecture, and cultures of Central and South America.

The land will feature Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, which will take guests inside the magical Casita; Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, replacing DINOSAUR with an original adventure through a Maya temple; and El Carrusel de los Animalitos, a carousel featuring hand-carved Disney animal figures. The area will also include a new playground, shops, and dining locations housed within the village.

Imagineers also recently shared how years of research and material testing are helping them create the architecture, textures, and aged appearance of Pueblo Esperanza.
