A new traffic pattern has debuted at the intersection of Western Way and W Buena Vista Drive at Walt Disney World Resort.

New Western Way Traffic Pattern

Western Way (currently) has two lanes. Previously, one was left turn only and the other was right turn only. The left lane remains left turn only but the right lane now allows both left and right turns.

The intersection is often used to get to and from Flamingo Crossings, a Cast Member housing community, so this will mostly affect employees.

But even guests heading this direction will see an improvement. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, as well as several resorts, are to the left, making that lane busier. Traffic should be a little better with the update.

This is a temporary change until a new interchange is completed and Western Way is widened.

Bigger traffic changes are underway near Magic Kingdom, where a new Floridian Way recently opened.
