A new documentary is coming to Disney+, and this one is for Disney Parks lovers!

Disney Worldbuilders, from director Leslie Iwerks (Disneyland Handcrafted), is where “some of Disney’s most influential storytellers reflect on the memories, moments, and creative breakthroughs that shaped their work, tracing how those stories come to life at Disney’s theme parks around the globe.”

The documentary will be coming to Disney+ on August 20th and will feature Bob Iger, James Cameron, Jon Favreau, Kevin Feige, Jennifer Lee, Pete Docter, Dave Filoni, Jared Bush, and Josh D’Amaro — quite a few big names!

Their conversations reveal a creative practice that moves in every direction — where a story can inspire a place, and a place can then inspire the next story. Everything comes back to Walt Disney himself, as the creative tradition continues to shape every new story.

Disney Worldbuilders will focus on the creative minds behind Disney and show candid conversations with the names behind the scenes. Together, they reveal how stories like Avatar, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Frozen, and Zootopia become real places you get to explore for yourself and never want to leave.

While you’re on Disney+, you should watch Disneyland Handcrafted, which is assembled entirely from rare archival footage and original audio recordings. You truly feel like you’re there helping build Disneyland!

Behind the Attractions also released a third season recently, all dedicated to Disney Cruise Line! There are so many shows on Disney+ for the Disney history nerd or people who want to get a little bit more familiar with Disney before going on their vacations.
