Can you believe it’s already almost October? We certainly can’t, but we are excited because it means that one of our favorite times at Disney World is right around the corner.

Don’t get us wrong, we love the Halloween decor all over the parks, but what amazes us each and every year is how FAST Disney switches over from Halloween to the holidays! The majority of Halloween decor is in Magic Kingdom each year, with bits and pieces in the other three parks. For the holidays, though, each park gets its own transformation, and it’s so close we can taste it. If you’ve never seen it happen before, allow us to show you just a bit of what it’s like to get you as excited as we are!

To give you an idea of how epic this transformation really is, let’s take a look at some photos of how Magic Kingdom in particular looks right now, with all the Halloween decor set up.

Again, the other three parks do have small Halloween nods throughout them, but Magic Kingdom is the main event. You’ll find jack-o’-lanterns all over the park, specifically on Main Street, U.S.A., and one of our favorite decorations is the pumpkin wreaths you’ll find around the park.

When Halloween season officially ends on October 1st, Disney races against the clock to get all the Halloween decor down. In years past, we’ve seen nearly all the Halloween decor in Magic Kingdom come down on November 1st, which is already quite an impressive transformation. Last year, we spotted Christmas decor arrive in the park as early as November 2nd!

One of the most impressive parts of the year is that Disney gets their Christmas trees in the parks, even the massive one on Main Street, up in just ONE night. In 2025, Disney had the iconic Magic Kingdom Christmas tree up by November 4th, and had put it up literally overnight!

EPCOT, on the other hand, usually waits until later in the month of November to put up its decorations, since Festival of the Holidays, EPCOT’s final festival of the year, doesn’t start until after Thanksgiving. Last year, we saw the decorations begin to arrive on November 21st, which was exactly a week before the festival started on November 28th.

Believe it or not, the park that usually gets its holiday decorations FIRST is none other than Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Last year, we saw the iconic stars on Sunset Blvd go up on November 1st! Now, the rest of the decor did take just under a week to follow, arriving on November 7th, but if you want some holiday cheer immediately after Halloween, this will be the park to head to.

Finally, we’ve got Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which we feel is a supremely underrated park during the holiday season. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, especially that massive Christmas tree at the very front of the park (which arrived on November 7th last year), but one of the most beautiful parts of the park’s offering is the Merry Menagerie.

The Merry Menagerie is a collection of life-size arctic puppets — polar bears, reindeer, foxes, penguins, and more — brought to life through skilled puppeteers who make them walk, blink and even soar above each guest.  They’re beyond magical, and truly, it’s an experience we think everyone needs to have at least once!

Don’t forget that there are TWO holiday parties you can experience in Disney World this year! Jollywood Nights takes place at Hollywood Studios on select nights from November 7th, 2026 to January 5th, 2027, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom, taking place on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd, 2026.
