The “Magic Carpet Brass Silk” artwork in Adventureland at Disneyland is being refreshed with new paint.

The "Magic Carpet Brass Silk" artwork in Adventureland at Disneyland is being refreshed with new paint.

The artwork, which has an image of a carpet above the text “Magic Carpet Brass Silk,” was painted over late last week. It’s located inside a secondary archway in Adventureland Bazaar.

The store’s exterior has been covered in themed scrim since early August.

As of this morning, September 7, we can see the sketch for the artwork, which appears largely unchanged from before. It also appears that the controversial spade in the center will remain.

Currently, only “Magic Carpet” is painted in teal with yellow polka dots.

Adventureland Bazaar sells a variety of apparel, accessories, gifts and more. Nearby attractions include Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones Adventure, which closes for refurbishment this week.
