The outline of Casita is becoming more obvious at the Tropical Americas construction site in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The building from Encanto will be the facade of the brand-new ride Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto.

It struck us when approaching Tropical Americas (formerly DinoLand U.S.A.) from Discovery Island just how clear the shape of Casita is now. Past the land’s future entrance archway and carousel, the steel framing in the background now includes the building’s tallest tower, although it’s not yet complete.

For comparison, here is Casita as it appears in the ride’s concept art and Walt Disney Imagineering’s model of the facade. Work is also progressing steadily on the mountains that will help hide the ride’s show building.

Here’s a closer look at Casita’s framework. Once the framing is done, crew members will enclose it and then decorate it with themed paneling, roofing, and paint.

Meanwhile, crews have been adding roofing to El Carrusel de los Animalitos. Most of the wide roof visible to guests is now covered by paneling. The central tower has yet to be covered.
