Duffy’s friend LinaBell is celebrating her 5th anniversary, having debuted at Shanghai Disneyland on September 29, 2021.
LinaBell’s Story
Though she began meeting guests on September 29, LinaBell was unveiled on September 17, 2021. She’s an inquisitive pink fox wearing a purple orchid, and loves to solve problems and mysteries with her signature magnifying glass.
As the introduction video below showcases, LinaBell and Duffy met when he got lost in the forest while following a butterfly. LinaBell used her magnifying glass to find “clues” on Duffy, figuring out where he came from and helping him get home.
In the 2022 Duffy & Friends short film “Lunchbox Mystery,” LinaBell led the search for Duffy’s missing lunchbox.
LinaBell remains the newest friend of Duffy introduced, following ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, and ‘Olu Mel, as well as TippyBlue the seagull.
LinaBell Around the World
LinaBell has been a regular in Duffy and Friends entertainment at Shanghai Disneyland since her debut. Guests can meet her at Friendship Point, and in 2023, she joined Team Red in Shanghai Disneyland’s Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party! She appears on merchandise, food items, and in entertainment, particularly during the annual Duffy Month.
After about a year exclusive to Shanghai Disneyland, LinaBell began making appearances at other Disney Parks. She debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland on September 9, 2022. Since then, she has appeared in various shows at Hong Kong Disneyland, including The Joy of Sharing castle stage show, the “Adventure Together” Celebration Moment, and StellaLou’s Wonderful Wishes Ballet during Duffy and Friends Play Days.
She is part of Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle! celebrating the resort’s 20th anniversary. Watch the castle show below.
LinaBell arrived at Tokyo DisneySea on September 8, 2022, in the form of special merchandise and menu items. She made her actual first appearances at the park beginning on July 4, 2023, with the new stage show Duffy and Friends’ Wonderful Friendship as well as the Duffy & Friends’ Smile & Fun Harbor Greeting. LinaBell didn’t meet guests at Tokyo Disney Resort until the Duffy & Friends: Wonderful Kitchen event in early 2025.

LinaBell and the rest of Duffy’s friends made their Disney Cruise Line debut on the Disney Adventure, where they appear in the stage show Duffy and the Friend Ship and have their own dedicated shop. Watch the show below.
5 Years of LinaBell
Shanghai Disneyland is celebrating LinaBell’s 5th anniversary with events and social media posts.
She and Duffy visited a local Disney Reading Together event next to Shanghai’s “mother river” Suzhou Creek. With Olympic rowing champions Chen Yunxia and Zhang Ling, and Disney VoluntEARS, LinaBell and Duffy shared the joy and warmth of friendship with local children. LinaBell and Duffy also attended the Head of Shanghai River Regatta.
Shanghai Disneyland Cast Members shared their favorite LinaBell moments throughout the park, including a LinaBell flowerbed currently at the park entrance.
They also shared a video highlighting LinaBell’s costumes over the past five years.
At Shanghai Disneyland, LinaBell is making special appearances this week to celebrate her 5th anniversary and Duffy Month.
