Scaffolding is coming down and going up at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel during a refurbishment of the exterior.

Crews have expanded the construction walls around the front pool, which closed last week. The walls now extend to the end of GCH Craftsman Grill. The restaurant remains open, with a sign pointing to the entrance.

Above is scaffolding covered by beige scrims. Guests walk under this scaffolding to reach the pools that are open, as indicated by another sign.

Inside Craftsman Grill, guests can actually see crew members and construction materials through the windows.

The patio dining area is surrounded by construction walls. Across the courtyard is the tower of scaffolding we previously saw covered in beige scrims.

Crew members are now taking down the scaffolding, indicating work on this part of the building is done. Crews likely repainted and refurbished the walls and balconies. We previously saw crews painting balconies above the hotel’s Disney California Adventure entrance.

At a closed pool gate is a new sign pointing guests to the gate near GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill.

Over the construction walls, there are still no signs of work at the actual pool or deck. The pool remains full of water.

More scaffolding and scrims have been installed on a wall overlooking the pool.

Disney has not officially announced why the pool is closed or when it will reopen.
