Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT is now closed for a refurbishment and blocked by rolling planters.
Coral Reef Closed
The closure began September 8. The Walt Disney World website states Coral Reef Restaurant “expected to reopen later in 2026.”
The planters suggest there may be some exterior changes to the restaurant, which is on the side of The Seas With Nemo & Friends pavilion.
Coral Reef ended lunch service early this year. The restaurant features Florida Coastal Cuisine with “ocean-fresh specialties and other classic favorites crafted with Florida flair”:
Marvel at the multicolored magnificence of our living coral reef—all while you dine! Panoramic windows give every table an insider view into the awesome, underwater world of The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
The Seas is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet, and holds enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools! The meticulously crafted habitat has been designed by marine scientists to enrich the lives of approximately 2,000 sea creatures—more than 60 aquatic species!—that call The Seas home.
As you dine, be sure to look for sharks, sea turtles and rays as they swim in this wondrous coral reef.
Although the restaurant has had its ups and downs through the years, we decided to give Coral Reef Restaurant another try in 2024 as part of a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Overall, we felt that the location has stepped up its game. We had a great meal with the always great view. There are a lot of dining options at EPCOT, but you should keep Coral Reef on your radar.
