If you’ve ever wandered through EPCOT’s year-round Christmas shop in Germany wishing you could take one of those beautiful glass ornaments home with a little more personal flair, Arribas Brothers now has a sweet option. Just don’t try to take a bite out of this one…
Arribas Brothers launched a create-your-own glass gingerbread cookie ornament experience at the Glaskunst kiosk in the Germany pavilion. You can choose a glass “cookie,” decorate it with favorite toppings, and add personalized engraving.
The experience starts at $39 and includes your choice of four toppings. Additional toppings cost $5 each, while laser engraving of up to four words can be added for $6.99.
There are three glass cookie shapes to choose from:
- Mickey gingerbread man
- Christmas tree
- Heart
The Christmas tree and heart include holes at the top for hanging with a string. The Mickey gingerbread man doesn’t have a hole, but you could fasten some yarn or string to the back with some craft glue.
Each design already includes some colorful “frosting” details. The Christmas trees feature green and white trim, the Mickey gingerbread men have white trim, and the hearts combine red trim on one half with white on the other.
The best part? Decorating your cookie! Guests can choose from toppings including a big red Minnie bow, small red Minnie bow, white elf hat, candy cane, Minnie icon, Mickey icon, peppermint, and gold star. Once you’ve made your selections, you can decide exactly where each topping goes on your glass cookie.
If you want to personalize it even further, Arribas Brothers offers laser engraving with three font choices: script, Times New Roman, and Bavarian. Up to four words can be engraved for the additional $6.99 charge.
Several completed examples are on display at Glaskunst if you need a little inspiration before committing to your design.
The finished ornament is completed the same day for pickup, making this an easy souvenir to create earlier in your EPCOT day and collect before heading home!
