Disney and Make-A-Wish make magic for more than 30 wish children and their families in Ireland on the first-of-its-kind multi-day ‘A Disney Wish’ experience, including an afternoon aboard the Disney Dream during the ship’s visit to Cork.

The ‘A Disney Wish’ experience brings Disney storytelling, characters and moments of joy to families close to home. During this experience, wish children are able to interact with characters, participate in activities, and experience Disney magic.

Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Ireland, said, “At Make-A-Wish Ireland, we see every day the powerful difference that hope, joy and connection can make in the lives of wish children and their families.”

“Disney Cruise Line shares that spirit, creating joyful experiences that bring families together. This event gave our wish families a wonderful opportunity to have fun, build lasting memories, and connect with others who understand the journey they are on.”

During the multi-day experience, the children were greeted with a special welcome celebration with characters from Pixar’s Inside Out, brunch with Princesses, including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Belle, a disco party with Mickey Mouse and friends, many more fun-filled interactive activities, and keepsakes from their unforgettable experience.

Disney Cruise Line is dedicated to expanding its fleet to bring experiences like ‘A Disney Wish’ to more children around the world. In collaboration with Make-A-Wish, Disney has worked for more than 45 years to grant more than 175,000 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses around the world.

As part of Disney Cruise Line’s initiatives to make a positive impact in the destinations it visits, which were recently recognized on Forbes’ 2026 Best Brands for Social Impact list, they commit to creating meaningful opportunities for children, families, and local communities, like ‘A Disney Wish’ and its ‘Week of Wishes.’
