We have big news for Disney Dreamlight Valley fans! A new expansion pack is coming, and we may or may not be totally obsessed with it.

The new expansion, The Keepsake Sea, adds multiple new biomes to Dreamlight Valley. We’ve seen the teaser for the expansion, but now we have new details that we think every Dreamlight Valley fan is going to fall in love with.
There are tons of new features that are coming, including the ability to swim in a fully customizable mermaid or sea creature form. Players can swim “anywhere there is water” in the existing game and can dive for fish and items. It’s a nice change of pace for those who might not enjoy fishing as much, or who have been playing the game for years and want a different way to gather aquatic items.

The mermaid or sea creature you can be is fully customizable with tail and fin designs and colors. We loved the eel tail!
Players can also enter a portal to the new underwater area by swimming up to a mermaid statue that will appear off Dazzle Beach. This will transport players to the underwater area where you can find portals to other new biomes.

You’ll have full mobility to swim in the underwater areas by going up, down, left, and right. There are tons of collectibles there, and players can also build underwater with any of the furniture they have access to. You can build a house underwater! You can even build not only on the ocean floor but also on that vertical axis with the use of marine platforms that can be placed at any height. Floating houses? Say less!

Players will also be able to captain their own pirate ships to help reach some new areas. The pirate ships are customizable, and you can select up to two characters to sail with you as your crew. That means if you want to undertake a pirate ship with WALL-E and Daisy, you can.

New characters are also coming! Captain Jack Sparrow has been teased but is officially confirmed. He’s been a big request from fans! Milo from Atlantis and Meg from Hercules will also be joining the lineup. You can reunite Meg and Hercules, another fan request, and Milo and Captain Jack have a fun friendship. Milo is super excited that Jack knows a lot about the East India Trading Company. And yes, Jack Sparrow will have the iconic run.

A new critter will be joining the area and is a toucan! We saw Merlin around the area a lot in his Vacation outfit, which is currently available as a premium cosmetic item.
