Cathleen Taff is being promoted to President of Disney Entertainment – Studios and Consumer Products, while Lisa Baldzicki is moving to the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Global Experience and Innovation.

Beginning October 4, the global licensing and publishing businesses will move under Disney Entertainment – Studios. They were previously part of the Disney Consumer Products umbrella.

The move will allow merchandise and licensing to work more closely with those developing the IP behind it. It was also confirmed that Disney Parks merchandise, Disney Store, and DisneyStore.com will continue to stay under the Disney Experiences division.

As part of this change, Cathleen Taff is being promoted to President of Disney Entertainment – Studios and Consumer Products. She will report to Disney Entertainment – Studios chairman Alan Bergman.

Taff will continue to oversee Production Services, Franchise Management, and Theatrical Distribution for studios (Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures), while adding oversight of the Disney Consumer Products businesses. Taff will also continue leading Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Music Group.

Lisa Baldzicki, who was promoted to President of Disney Consumer Products back in March, will move into the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Global Experience and Innovation. She will lead a newly formed team that will “identify emerging trends and opportunities, and the scaling of successful ideas across the Disney Experiences global portfolio.”

Baldzicki will remain head of the Disney Parks domestic and global merchandise businesses, as well as the retail businesses, including Disney Store locations worldwide and DisneyStore.com. She will report to Disney Experiences chairman Thomas Mazloum.
