Disneyland Resort has several new updates for guests this week. First, a new restroom has opened near Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. Meanwhile, the pathway connecting Cars Land and Avengers Campus has reopened. Finally, Main Street Cinema at Disneyland Park has returned with a new Mickey Mouse short lineup.
New Restroom Opens at Cars Land
The new Take-a-Brake Rest Stop gives Cars Land guests another convenient place to use the restroom.
Additionally, the themed facility fits into the world of Radiator Springs. The design takes inspiration from a vintage Route 66 mechanic shop, while Stanley’s Oasis provides drinking fountains and bottle-filling stations.
The new restroom also includes companion bathrooms. As a result, guests now have another convenient stop while exploring Cars Land and the nearby Avengers Campus.
Cars Land to Avengers Campus Pathway Reopens
At the same time, Disney has reopened the direct pathway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus.
The route closed in 2025 while Disney worked on the Avengers Campus expansion. Now, guests can once again travel directly between the two lands instead of taking the longer route around the construction area.
Furthermore, the reopened pathway includes themed details that help transition guests from the Route 66 setting of Cars Land into the superhero world of Avengers Campus.
Construction continues nearby as Disney works toward future attractions, including Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.
Main Street Cinema Returns With Mickey Shorts
Over at Disneyland Park, Main Street Cinema has also reopened.
However, guests will notice a change inside. The theater now features modern Mickey Mouse shorts, bringing a newer style of Mickey animation to the historic Main Street attraction.
Previously, the cinema was known for showing classic Mickey Mouse cartoons. Now, Disneyland has given the location a fresh lineup while keeping Mickey at the center of the experience.
Three Disneyland Changes to Check Out
Overall, these updates give Disneyland Resort a few new things for guests to experience:
- New Cars Land restroom: The Take-a-Brake Rest Stop adds a themed restroom and water station.
