Crews have begun preparing Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland for a major new addition. Animatronic Anzellan droidsmiths, shown off at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, will soon appear inside the shop.

Anzellans Coming Soon to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

A built-in shelving unit behind the cash wrap inside Droid Depot has been cleared and decorated. There are three themed stands that the Anzellans will sit inside. On the walls are various panels and shelves for the Anzellans to interact with.

The display has artificial grease and grime. Fake wires hang out of a tube on the ceiling.

Cast Members did not know when the Anzellans would be installed.

Here’s what the Anzellans looked like on display at D23.

Babu Frik was the first Anzellan to appear in the Star Wars franchise in Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker. They’ve since appeared in Young Jedi Adventures, The Mandalorian, and more.
