Cast Members are visibly hard at work throughout the area. When asked, they said they were “working on the [Tiki] torches” that surround the entire seating area.

Walkways wind throughout the construction work, which, in our experience, were discombobulated and difficult to navigate. It was evident upon our visit that work had recently commenced.

The outdoor renovation to Trader Sam’s and Tangoroa Terrace follows a recent interior renovation to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, which opened back up in May of this year following two weeks of refurbishment.

Though much of the interior decor remained the same, cast members said that “everything was refreshed.” The lighting in particular was updated, with the hanging lamps featuring more decorative detailing to be uniquely designed and differently shaped. The windows, which show a tropical landscape “outside,” were described as newly “sparkling and clear.” The totem poles supporting the bar’s ceiling also received new red and blue paint to appear more brightly colored.

The reopening included access to its menu of tropical drinks and lunch and dinner options, as well as a new 15th anniversary Hyena Mug and Cocktail (Barrel of Mischief) available to those who attended a mixology class.
