First Lady Gown Added to The Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom

A new gown worn by a First Lady has been added to The Hall of Presidents attraction at Magic Kingdom.

New First Lady Gown

The new burgundy gown features a white lace collar, and the slim-fitting corset has a V-shaped point at the bottom front waist with several gold buttons. The long sleeves also feature velvet cuffs and patterned lace undersleeves.

A new gown worn by a First Lady has been added to The Hall of Presidents attraction at Magic Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the skirt features beaded details on the hips that flow down to the middle of the dress.

The gown sits in the middle of Elizabeth “Bess” Truman’s blue dinner dress and a dusty pink 18th-century gown worn by Dolley Payne Todd Madison.

While the display signifies that the dress belongs to Lucy Webb Hayes, wife of President Rutherford B. Hayes, we noticed the display was the same as it was previously. It’s possible this dress also belongs to First Lady Lucy Webb Hayes. This dress does not have a card on the floor like the others do.

The Dolley Madison dress—along with a new portrait and a hair comb— was added to the First Ladies display back in early July. Other items that were added to the attraction included a tennis racket from 1992 that belonged to President George H. W. Bush.

Disney added the Bess Truman dress, as well as artifacts representing Harry S. Truman and Gerald R. Ford, in May.
