The Frontierland boardwalk at Magic Kingdom is now completely blocked off due to construction of Piston Peak National Park.

About half of the boardwalk has been closed since early July. For the past few weeks, guests could only access a small section around the Westward Ho site. Now construction walls completely surround the boardwalk.

The construction walls run from Liberty Square all the way to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Despite the walls, the boardwalk is not expected to be removed. It appears in Piston Peak concept art, as seen below.

That said, it’s likely the boardwalk will be refurbished during this time.

Piston Peak National Park is a Cars-themed addition to Frontierland. It will have two rides: Cars Ridge Run Rally and Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin Along.
