What is Halloween Horror Nights?
Halloween Horror Nights is a separately-ticketed after-hours event held at Universal Studios Hollywood. The event features haunted houses based on famous franchises and original concepts, as well as walk-through “scare zones” and interactive street experiences with roaming characters.
When is Halloween Horror Nights?
Halloween Horror Nights takes place at Universal Studios Hollywood on select nights from September 3 through November 1. Here are all the 2026 event dates (42 in total):

Halloween Horror Nights Tickets & Add-Ons
Single-night Halloween Horror Nights general admission tickets range from $77 to $107 and include event entry and non-Express access to open houses and attractions.
Other single-day ticket options include admission to Halloween Horror Nights plus bonuses:

- Includes same-day, all-day general park admission and Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express – starting from $259
- Includes one-time (per day) Express access to each haunted house, ride, and attraction during Halloween Horror Nights (Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift not included)
- Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express Unlimited – starting from $299
- Includes unlimited (per day) Express access to each haunted house, ride, and attraction during Halloween Horror Nights (Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift not included)
- Halloween Horror Nights After 2 pm Day/Night – starting from $117
- Includes general park admission starting at 2 p.m. and Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Halloween Horror Nights After 2 pm Day/Night Universal Express – starting from $319
- Includes general park admission starting at 2 p.m., Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access starting at 5:30 p.m., and one-time (per day) Express access to each ride, attraction, and haunted house (Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift not included)
There are two multi-day Halloween Horror Nights Fear Passes available:
- Frequent Fear Pass – $179/person
- Includes general admission for up to 35 event dates. All event dates are eligible for the first visit; return visit blockout dates are Oct. 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24.
- Ultimate Fear Pass – $299/person
- Includes general admission for all event dates
Finally, five add-on options are available. All require the additional purchase of a single-day Halloween Horror Nights ticket:
- Early Access Ticket – starting from $20/person
- Adds Early Event Access starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Dining Pass – $64.75/person
- Includes two eligible entrée items and four eligible side, snack, dessert, or beverage items from participating food and beverage locations during Halloween Horror Nights
- Universal Express Add-On – starting from $180/person
- Adds one-time (per day) Express access to each haunted house, ride, and attraction during Halloween Horror Nights (Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift not included)
- Universal Express Select Add-On – starting from $60/person
- Adds one-time (per day) Express access to Terror Tram starring Art the Clown, The Purge: Dangerous Waters, and Killceañera: Music by SLASH
The R.I.P. Tour is a single-day option that starts at $479 per person (or as a ticket add-on from $400/person) and includes:
- A walking tour of the event hosted by an R.I.P. Tour Guide with one-time R.I.P. entry to each haunted house, select rides, and attractions, plus reserved VIP seating at a live show while on the tour
- Same-day limited access to Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift
- Unlimited (per day) Express access with R.I.P. Tour credential at each haunted house, ride, and attraction during Halloween Horror Nights
- Universal Backlot Halloween experience with VIP trolley transportation
- Gourmet dinner in the private VIP dining room
- Special themed photo opportunities

Haunted Houses

This year’s Terror Tram takeover of the Studio Tour features Terrifier icon Art the Clown transforming different set pieces into a bloody Christmas celebration, set to an original soundtrack by Ice Nine Kills.
