The fake apartment call box has returned to the Grand Lofts building along Grand Avenue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Grand Avenue Call Box
The call box was gone a few days ago but is back as of Friday, September 25. And it has been updated to include over 80 names.
Previously, the interactive box only listed a few names, including Seinfeld reference “Assmann, K.” The names were removed in July, replaced with “No directory entries created.”
Though “Assmann” is gone, guests can now scroll through these names:

No references stood out to us and the names appear to be Disney employees. The codes could be their birthdays or favorite numbers. Attempting to dial a code leads to the message “Line is in use try again later.”

Seinfeld Reference
The “Assmann” reference stemmed from the Seinfeld episode “The Fusilli Jerry” in season six, when Kramer’s DMV license plate got mixed up with a proctologist’s license plate. Later in the episode, Kramer proudly tells Jerry, “I’m Cosmo Kramer, the Assman!”
