If you love to look for hidden Mickeys, Walt Disney Imagineering has scattered several Easter eggs throughout the Animator’s Office inside The Magic of Disney Animation, coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Easter Eggs Inside the Animator’s Office
The Animator’s Office replicates the space where Disney artists create magic with ink and paint. Walt Disney Imagineering shared a rundown of the many animation-related Easter eggs you can spot throughout, starting with the animation desk itself.
The desk was salvaged from the original Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios.
The memorabilia-laden shelves of the bookcase include a tiny model of the Disney Feature Animation building in Burbank, California, as well as branded ping-pong balls gifted to animators who worked there.
Mounted on a bulletin board is a molded mirror of Donald with Huey, Dewey, and Louie — a flea-market find belonging to Once Upon a Studio director Dan Abraham — and a copy of Rabbit Rabbit magazine, the studio’s internal publication. A book showcasing the many caricatures the animators drew of each other sits below.
Crew apparel on a coat rack includes a Moana baseball cap and a Hercules jacket. An elaborate molded Mulan figurine is actually a stamp gifted to the animation team.
Around the desk are the animator’s tools of the trade: rolls of adhesive tabs to secure paper to the desk, a mug of sketching pencils that bears the name of the original animation building’s architects, and most importantly of all, lots of rubber bands.
The Magic of Disney Animation opens on September 14, 2026, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
