Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye is now closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Resort.

Indiana Jones Adventure Closed for Refurbishment

As of Tuesday, September 8, wooden closure walls and fences have been added around the attraction—which is located in Adventureland at Disneyland Park—and at the ride’s entrance. There are also standing signs that read “Attention! Not offering tours today.”

Meanwhile, signs on the construction wall read:

Coming soon! Join me on a most splendid tour of the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, with an opportunity to partake in the Fabled Blessings of Mara: eternal youth, great wealth, or a glimpse into the future. What could be more delightful? Tours begin in Fall of 1935!

We previously reported in late July that the ride would be closed for refurbishment. An opening date has not yet been announced. It last went through a two-day refurbishment in December 2025 following a month-long refurb earlier that year.

Since then, the bridge effect was restored after several years, and props at the exit were refreshed. The ride’s full pre-show returned in early 2025 after a 5-year absence.

A new Indiana Jones adventure is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, which replaces DINOSAUR. It will also feature a new story, along with Harrison Ford portraying Indiana Jones as an animatronic.
